What a nice weekend

It may finally be Spring here. Saturday we stopped at the driving range to hit a bucket of balls. We ended up staying for THREE! It was fun.

Trip To The Dentist

Maybe I'm taking this video camera thing a little too far. I can't believe I made a movie of the kids at the dentist. (but they are so CUTE!)

Waiting for Delaney

Delaney has just a couple more weeks of ballroom dancing in Rigby. Today when she and Cameron came through the door after school, the Kannon girls weren't far behind her. Since we were rushing off to Rigby we loaded the girls and Amy into the car and raced up the road. Poor Delaney has to go to practice, but the rest of us had an hour to kill in Rigby. We went out looking for "Adventure" and found a railroad caboose and a tank! Now what says "Adventure" more than a railroad caboose and a tank?!

Poor Delaney missed all the Adventure - but her Disco routine is looking GREAT! The Spring ballroom dancing concert is May 7 - we'll have more video for you then.

Hope you had a nice day like we did. Warm, very little wind, lots of sunshine...it was almost perfect.

Rumor has it

Word on the street is I'm going to be asked to speak at North Fremont High School graduation this year. Yep...that's Ashton!

You know what? I consider that a huge honor! If they ask me, I will definitely say YES!

This picture was from MY graduation from Western State College in 1993. That's Mike Picco and Rocky Moore. (I don't have any short friends do I?)

The Mother-In-Law!

I'm not sure if I'm remembering this right...but I think these two pictures were taken the same weekend. It would have been New Year's Eve 1991??? I think the first picture is Chris and me at that restaurant in Denver with the Windmill? Did it have a piano bar? And the good looking women on the right are getting ready to go O-U-T! I don't know where Gretchen went, but Chris and I went to Red Lobster. I fell down in the parking lot (it was soooo slick) and came back to the townhouse early.
That pretty much sets the scene for the next 16 years. Chris and I always THINK we want to go out and whoop it up, but somehow, we always end up coming home early! (Yawn)

Grandma & Grandpa

When the cabinet came tumbling down and the box of pictures spilled out...this was one on the top. I didn't even know I had it. That look on my Granpa's face is PERFECT! And isn't it funny that when I look at this picture, I can smell the good smells of that house?!

This picture makes me happy!

Oh, and how about this one. It must be the same time because of the plant on the coffee table. I'm guessing I'm 15, Alex and Mandy are 12ish and Sam must be...what 10?

(Alex looks cute in this picture)

Chris Steelheading in Stanley

Chris was in Stanley for about 4 days the first part of the week. He said it was the best "business trip" he's been on in a long time. I don't know anyone that isn't envious of how much Chris loves his J-O-B! This is why...

Father-Son Fishing Trip

So, you know Cameron's an aspiring photojournalist with his new digital camera... Turns out I'm sure to be a failure as a videographer. The Chief and I went to our favorite fishing spot on the Henry's Fork today, but first we stopped off at Warm River to feed the "wild" fish a package of hamburger buns ($1.09 from Dave's Jubilee in Ashton, my favorite small town in the world). Of course, fishing at this spot is not only illegal, but will likely result in the parents of every 5-year-old putting a bounty out on you...

But now, for the fun... notice the expert videography as performed by ... me, Captain Moron.

CinderFella!

I don't understand why, when asked to clean his own room, Cameron has a complete melt-down. But if you give him a dust cloth and some Pledge and turn him loose, he'll clean every wood surface in the house.

Pizza Night

We thought we would make a special dinner for Dad's homecoming tonight. Originally I had planned on a roast chicken with real stuffing and potatoes and the works. But then, I thought it might be more fun if I could get the kids involved too. Pizza seemed like a good solution!
The kids did it all by themselves and I'll tell you, it was delicious! Too bad Chris was stuck in a canyon somewhere in Northern Idaho and couldn't be home to enjoy it. (poor old Dad!)

Cameron wins a Camera!

Thanks to great support from Grandparents and friends, the children won some wonderful prizes for the Spring Break Read-A-Thon. Delaney came home with a new basketball, and Cameron is absolutley THRILLED with his Disney Digital Camera. So far he's off to a "magnificent" start. It's like living with a tiny little Papparazzo (sigh) Enjoy!

What a cutie!

Yesterday Delaney informed me she wanted to cut her hair. She wanted it "really short!" So off we went to Trade Secret in the mall where Audrey gave her THIS SUPER CUTE CUT! We all love it. She did it all by herself this morning. She has to blow it dry and use some "spray wax" to piece it apart.
Chris thinks it makes her look "taller!" I think it makes her look "older." Cameron says she looks like Tinkerbell!
Love it, love it, love it!

Just for fun

I was looking for something for KLCE on YouTube today and found a Saturday morning PSA that made me laugh. Then I went looking for another long lost television memory, and ended up spending way too much time on funny video clips like this one.
If you are between the ages of 39 and 35...you will remember "a loaf of bread, a container of milk, and a stick of butter." Enjoy!
